photo And Video Submission Guideline

Members of the executive committee and invited speakers for the event are advised to carefully review the following instructions. Please submit your profile photographs using the designated button below, ensuring that the images conform to the specified guidelines.

PHOTO TAKING GUIDELINE

A full body shot from the knee up facing the camera is required (your shoulders should not be angled for the picture). Our web designer will process submitted photos to remove backgrounds and create the appropriate size needed for our website. A clear background is recommended (white is optimal) to ensure proper extraction of the subject.

GET AN ASSISTANT TO HELP YOU

Enlist the assistance of another individual to capture your photograph, avoiding the use of selfies. A contemporary smartphone is comparable to a DSLR camera for this task. Prior to taking the photograph, ensure the camera lens is clean to achieve the highest digital clarity.

CORRECT PHOTO SUBMISSION

The photographs required must adhere to the specifications outlined above, specifically a full body shot. This is crucial for our web developer to ensure consistent sizing and uniformity across all submissions.

Portrait photographs that are cropped at the shoulders, as illustrated below, will not be accepted. Submitters will be required to provide a new image that meets the specified criteria.

STANDING PHOTO IMPORTANCE

Photographs taken from the knee up are useful for more than just portrait headshots. SCPS Executive committee and CCPS Council members have individual profile pages with standing photos. Our web developer will crop your standing photos as necessary for various purposes. If an assistant is unavailable please use the time feature on your device to ensure optimal results.

DO NOT COMPRESS YOUR PHOTO

It is essential to submit your photograph in its original resolution, without any compression. This requirement ensures that the image retains its quality and clarity, which is vital for optimal display on high-resolution screens across various devices.

READY TO SUBMIT PHOTO?

The submission form below should be used by those invited to submit photographs for our website. This includes executive SCPS committee members CCPS Council members and guest speakers.

INFO FOR ONLY THOSE GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTERS WHO CANT BE THERE
IN PERSON
  • All pre-recorded presentations will be done using an SCPS Zoom account in advance (panelist members who will be present at the event can ignore this).
  • Anyone wishing to record his/her presentation in advance should contact the administrator, Valerie Campbell by using the form below to set up an appointment to do the recording.
  • The administrator will create a meeting for one profile in the SCPS Zoom account, you will have access to this and do your presentation as normal.
  • When you begin your presentation this will be automatically recorded in the SCPS Zoom webinar account.
  • Once you do your presentation, you can log out of the account and our web developer will download the videos and do some video editing where needed.
  • All speakers are required to fill out our form below to collect photos and short bios. If you have already submitted this, you can ignore this instruction.
  • The presentation will be played during the event and will also be used as part of the recorded video archive of the event within our SCPS login page.

ATTENDEES WISHING TO SUBMIT 
VIDEO TESTIMONIALS
  • We would very much like to collect a few video testimonials from our attendees after the event.
  • This would be a simple 1 minute video shot by the applicant using a simple his/her smartphone to record video of themselves going over their experiences with regards to our event (horizontal layouts only).
  • Shoot the video in horizontal layout with good lighting. Be seated at a table. For optimal results you could mount the recording device (this can be a smart phone or video camera) at eye level for a more natural looking video.
  • If you have access to a headset with mic or a pair of AirPods that would allow for good sound clarity.
  • We are looking for about 10 video testimonials to showcase our event.
  • Video submission can be done by uploading the video to WETRANSFER and sending to our Administrator, Valerie Campbell, at admin@scps.org.uk
  • The deadline for submission of this will be the 10th November 2020.
  • We encourage you to revisit this page before and after the event for any updated information.
  • Guest panelist speakers can ignore this.
